Who this is for

The shape of business this is built for, and the kind of owner

It’s the shape that matters, not the industry. And fit runs both directions.

The shape

One shape of business

Singularly held: one person owns it and decides. And run in a way where everything ultimately depends on that person, whether the people around them are employees, contractors, or partners. If you stepped away for six weeks and you already know which parts would stall, this is your shape.

The sector barely matters. Financial advisors, mortgage brokers, painting companies, countertop installers, CRE brokers, ecommerce. The spread is the point: what these businesses share is the shape, not the industry.

And a business built this way isn’t simpler than one with an org chart. It’s concentrated: the complexity lives in one head instead of being spread across departments, which makes it less visible. Not less real. That’s why the standard analysis instruments find nothing to grab here, and why this one is built differently.

The floors

The math that has to work first

The floors are just math: what the work costs against what it can recover. At least one of these should generally be true:

PERSONAL INCOME $200K+ BUSINESS REVENUE $1M+ NET WORTH $2M+ any one of the three

If none of them are, this probably isn’t for you yet. That’s not a judgment, it’s just the math: the work has to be able to recover meaningfully more than it costs, and below these floors that gets hard to promise honestly.

The owner

The kind of owner it fits

You want different results, not better feelings about the current ones.

There are two kinds of clarity you can buy. A description that can’t be wrong: it just sits there, agreeing with you. And a working model that can be wrong, which is exactly why you can bet on it. Validation and diagnosis pull in opposite directions at the step where results get made, and one service can’t honestly sell both. This one sells the second kind.

You expect to have to change things to get them.

The findings usually ask something of the business: a price, a role, where your own time goes. Real constraints are fine, and they get designed around. What can’t be designed around is wanting the results without any of the changes.

You’d rather have a finding that stings than a summary that agrees with everything.

Wrongness lands on the configuration of the business, never on you. But it does land. Owners who want the model to confirm the current setup are buying the wrong service.

The other direction

Who this isn’t for

Idea-stage ventures: there’s no running system to model yet. Owners looking for accountability and motivation: that’s coaching’s terrain, and it’s legitimate terrain, just not this one. And anyone whose real purchase is validation or company: the work can’t serve it, structurally, and pretending it could would waste your money.

Your time is valuable. If we’re not a fit, I’ll say so plainly, and that’s usually clear within minutes.
